Are We Responsible For Our Own Happiness?

The term “Self-discovery” means identifying yourself and your needs. Self-discovery is very important. If you do not discover yourself, and know exactly what you want from life, you have no idea what you are living for.

A step to self-discovery is identifying your needs. Most people are clueless of what they want. To identify your needs, you first need to take a step back and think thoroughly.

Then, when you are in a relaxed state of mind, meditate and focus on your thoughts.

Ask yourself questions like what makes you happy, what makes you sad and so on. Along with the question of what, also ask why it makes you feel certain emotions. Seek a deep and strong reason behind it, not a common or general answer.

When you have identified what makes you happy and sad, you can focus on the things that make you happy and stay away from moments that make you sad.

After you have the answer to all of your questions, write them down on a piece of paper so it will be easier for you to view it whenever you need to.

We spend a lot of time looking outside of ourselves in search of happiness. We might feel the happiest when we are under the influence of alcohol or other substances. We might need our family or friends around us to feel happy or we might even think that losing weight or becoming fit is the way to achieve happiness.

I strongly encourаge you to stаrt your dаy off with аt leаst five minutes thаt consists of some type of relаxаtion exercise. Either in the morning to kick your dаy off, the аfternoon is you’re аble to, or аt night before bed, to releаse the tension thаt’s build up throughout your dаy. Eаch week, аim to аdd roughly five minutes until you end up аt аn hour dаily (if you cаn).

When you do these kinds of things, you further increаse your level of wisdom, strength, knowledge, аnd confidence. By hаving а higher level of strength you’ll begin to feel аs though you cаn conquer the world. This, аs а result, will аlso help to decreаse your level of stress thаt you fаce.

Once you’ve аccepted yourself, you cаn begin to cope with the world аround you аnd further аccept the fаct thаt you cаn do everything you’re “expected” to do in life.

How to Get in the Right Mindset and be Positive

Have you reached the point where getting out of bed is enormously tough and heavy, you need those 5 more minutes under the warm, cozy sheets? During the day somehow the time comes when you have to speak with your family, but you have no desire to call them because let’s say it, it’s unsatisfying and boring. You go out and meet new friends but still you ask yourself : “What’s the point?”.

You just want to go home and be alone. But somewhere inside your heart and soul, you know that there is a way your life could be transformed. You realize that if you know how, your life will change.

Of course you know your values and what you stand for. You are working very hard even though it seems that you are stuck. But you are sure about your believes and you feel confident. And deep down inside you sense that this is only a small aspect of the whole picture.

And the time comes to search for the real meaning of life. This is your actual goal. Why am I believing and doing this? What is the purpose the cause and the contribution? And one day it becomes clear to you that the ultimate goal is to wake up every morning and you know you are on the right path. You don’t care what others say because you feel that you are on the right path, and you figured out what is the missing piece of the puzzle. That missing piece is the purpose of serving others, not taking from them.

Sometimes we experience bad emotions and due to some tragedy or unhappy situation we feel lost and sad. It could be a hard say at work, where nothing is working properly, even your laptop is stuck. Or the deadline of a project is coming to an end and you are nowhere to the finish line. Sometimes you received a bad news or lost somebody you loved. Or you are lying sick and in pain in the dark alone. We all have experienced the financial crises where money are not enough and the credit payment is due… All of these sad and miserable situations makes you ask yourself why is it so hard?
